About Us
The Edinburgh Technology Transfer Centre is well established as a crucial hub for the commercial exploitation of the world-class technology emerging from the laboratories of the University of Edinburgh. The Edinburgh Technology Transfer Centre is home to nascent companies formed, by academics, researchers and students, to become vehicles for that commercial exploitation.
The Edinburgh Technology Transfer Centre's technology company incubation facilities provide those nascent companies with flexible low-cost accommodation equipped to a very high standard and fully integrated into the University's wider infrastructure.
The Edinburgh Technology Transfer Centre is a key component in the University's Company Creation and Development strategy - a grouping of teams and facilities that encourage and assist the creation of technology companies led by academics, researchers and students, and their subsequent growth and development through the University's incubators and on to one of its science parks.
This commitment to the creation and development of technology companies, and in particular the provision of facilities and services to nascent companies, is unique amongst universities in Scotland. It is one reason why the University's performance as a launch-pad for high quality technology companies is unparalleled.
