Laboratories
Laboratories at ETTC BioSpace fall into one of two categories typically reflecting the needs of incubatees in primary or secondary incubation. Starter units are of 200 square feet in size and have a write-up office immediately adjacent. Grow-on units are of 300 square feet in size and each is paired with an office in the immediately adjacent office area. Starter have a normal capacity of two whilst some of the grow-on units are spacious enough for six or more scientists.
All laboratories are furnished with standard lab benching, extensive shelving and a lab sink. Laboratories are fully integrated into ETTC BioSpace’s information and communications network. Each laboratory has two / four telephone points providing access to ETTC BioSpace’s flexible telephone call management system. Voice mail, call diversion, call forwarding and external voice mail retrieval are standard. ISDN lines are also available.
Each laboratory has two / four data network points providing web access via JANET, the high-speed data network for UK academic and research institutions. With a band width of 10/100 Mbps and full to-the-wall data network support, best quality ICT is one of ETTC BioSpace’s greatest assets.
