Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) came into force on the 1 of January 2005 and is designed to allow members of the public access to information held by public authorities, subject to certain exemptions.

Publication Scheme

As part of the Edinburgh Technology Transfer Centre’s obligations under the FOISA, it are required to draw up a ‘Publication Scheme’, which is described by the Scottish Information Commissioner thus: ‘Every public authority in Scotland must produce a publication scheme. These schemes describe the information that the authority publishes, in what form it is published, and details of any charges for providing the information’. The Edinburgh Technology Transfer Centre’s Publication Scheme is available for review by clicking here. If you require any further information, please contact the Edinburgh Technology Transfer Centre’s FOISA representative.
