Service Offering
In the first instance, ETTC’s remit is to nurture nascent spin-out companies with a package of high-input hand-in-hand business development services. This stage in the development of incubatees is referred to as primary incubation. Following on from primary incubation, secondary incubation is more reactive, respecting incubatees’ increasing self-reliance. Secondary incubation also seeks to establish strong links between incubatees and the University with a view to ensuring a continued channelling of the very knowledge and technologies around which the incubate companies were formed.
For companies moving through ETTC’s two to three year incubation programme, the package of services is tailored to meet their diverse and sophisticated needs. As well as bespoke service delivery and provisions such as Strategic Clinics and Development Workshops, ETTC provides access to a wide network of business professionals, potential non-executive directors, business angels, venture capitalists and science and technology parks.
Ultimately, if a little ironically, ETTC’s goal is to rapidly and effectively facilitate the successful graduation of companies out from ETTC.
